Hearts of Hope is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization located in the Metro-Detroit area and was founded by a group of mothers whose children all share a complex heart defect. We are dedicated to providing support, hope, resources, and networking to families affected by congenital heart defects.

Join Hearts of Hope at the Big House Big Heart 5K, 10K & 1M fun run October 3, 2010. Gather your fellow runners, friends, families, neighbors and co-workers. This will be a fantastic opportunity for you to see the "Big House", get a little "cardio" exercise and meet other heart families all while raising much needed funding to support our mission!

Tommy Schomaker's aunt, Patty Sweeney, was inspired by the Schomaker family's walk of faith and has designed a line of inspirational jewelry including the Hope Statement Necklace.

Aidan and his mom, Jamie, were interviewed by Fox 2 News! Heart mom, Jamie LaForest and Grammie Becky, have created a cookbook in honor of Aidan, his heart buddies, and in remembrance of all the heart angels.

Please join us for the 6th annual Hearts of Hope picnic on Sunday, October 10th at 12 noon. We will be celebrating at Thelma Spencer Park in Rochester Hills, MI. We welcome all families and friends affected by congenital heart defects as well as the health professionals who work with them.

Andrew is four years old and has HLHS and lives in St. Clair Shores. He was recently granted a wish by Michigan' Rainbow Connection and was able to visit Disney World and spend time with his favorite baseball team, the Tigers. View the video!

Scott Newport lives in Michigan with his three children and wife, Penni. His son, Evan, now five-years-old, is diagnosed with Noonan's syndrome and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. If Scott had a bumper sticker on his car, it would read: "Proud Parent of a PICU Soldier."

Stephanie Husted is a free-lance poet who has a child with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. She enjoys encouraging other families through the written word. She lives in Michigan with her husband and two sons, Colin and Braeden.
