Elizabeth Smith, CD(DONA)

Elizabeth Smith is the owner and operator of Birth Angel Doula Services, LLC. She holds a bachelors degree in early childhood education, and have worked with infants and their families for many years. She started her doula service after a friend of  hers suggested that she be present for the birth of her son as a doula. After much research about what a doula is and what one does, Elizabeth decided to go through the certification process. In the past, she has always nurtured infants and their families in a childcare setting, and decided to see what it was like to be present during the birthing process, and to nurture both mother and baby.

Elizabeth received her training through DONA International. Based on her personal experience with neonatal death, she provides birth assistance free of charge to families that have experienced early to late term miscarriage, death of the unborn or newborn infant, or to families given a devastating diagnoses during pregnancy.
